I have written poetry for as long as I can remember. And I try and read a book or 2 of poetry each year.

Psalms:

Father God I come before your heavenly throne
I ask and seek for strength and peace
For you alone O Lord  my God are my light and my shield
       to you alone will I yield
You are my stronghold on your will I will trust
I will seek you in the morning
I will seek you in the evening
I will seek you in the night
       for you alone my God are my delight
I will praise you now and ever more
I will praise your holiness in this and in all else
You alone are my glory,
You alone are my life
You alone are my light and my Salvation
For you alone will I trust  
I thank you for the refreshing you bring
       when your Holy Spirit pours down on hearts
You my God do I delight in
You my Go will I trust in
You my God will I abide in and rely on your faithfulness
