I have written poetry for as long as I can remember. And I try and read a book or 2 of poetry each year.

 

Meandering Thoughts!

I am overcome
By my guilt and sinfulness
Time and time again
I fall from your grace.

Lord so often
I’ve turned my back
and walked away
Just let me hear you say
‘Come back to me,
Come back to the way.’

Lord I pray to you again
Seeking forgiveness,
Break my heart and
Make it new in your love
Fill me to fullness, once again
Fill me with your Spirit
    To overflowing again.

Lead me to do your will
Help me to walk in your love
My Lord and my God!

Help me to see your will
To follow you again,
Lead me to serve you again
And again I pray
Help me to be yours today.
